The apples has been found in the prehistoric lake dwellings of Switzerland. The man has been enjoying apples for at least 750,000 years! The apples were a favorit fruit of the ancient Greeks and Romans.

Cooking for the family

It seems that cooking for the family not only brings us closer together, it actually helps one unwind at the end of a busy and hectic day.
if you find the thought of going into the kitchen dounting, here is a word of advices; you must never compare yourself with the world's best cooks or even a family member who is know for his or her great cooking, what you produce in the kitchen is you own creation.
So, for all you novices out there, take a deep breath, plan your menu and get cooking, Nothing realy beats cooking up a storm and seeing the appreciative looks on the faces of your loved ones, Bon appetit and you enjoy these quick and easy dishes, which should not be followed to the T but tweaked to meet your own expectations!

Apple crumble recipe

Apple Crumble
ingredients
6 Granny Smith apples, cored and cut into 8 wedges
1 cup sultanas or raisins
1/2 cup water
1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
100 g butter - cut into cubes
Method
Put the apples, sultanas or raisins and water into a pot and put the pot on a moderate flames. Stir occasionally to ensure all the apples are uniformly softened but not mushy. The takes about 10 to 15 minutes, after which you take the pot off the fire.
While waiting, put the flour, sugar and butter in a basin and using your finger-tips, lighty mix until the mixture resembles crumbs.
In a baking dish, the apple mixture in and cover with the crumble mixture. Bake in the oven, with a temperature of 160 ํc for about 30 minutes. Let it cool and serve with vanilla ice cream or any flavor of your choice.
